My Why
The #1 question I get about It’s Her Business™ is HOW I can do it for $47/month when others are charging more, and the answer is because I want to.
My why is that I come from a long line of women who got stuck.
Stuck in relationships with men who kept them barefoot and pregnant.
Like my great-great Grandma, Pearlie Mae, who birthed 9 children for her husband, only to die with the last one and leave my great Grandma, Nellie, to care for her siblings AND the 9 more children her step-mother birthed, while her father & step-mother spent time in the penitentiary for moonshining…
Or who drank and gambled away their land, like my great-great-great Grandma, Elizabeth, whose husband lost the land that she inherited from her parents.
Or like my own mother, who wanted to leave my alcoholic father, but couldn’t because everything was his, and she had no hope but working for the rest of her days if she left…
My ancestors found themselves with no prospects after raising their kids and had nothing that was their own.
They had no way to make their own money, a skills gap and a lack of confidence in themselves.
And that is my why.
To honor the women who prayed for me, without even knowing who I would be, or become, I want to help as many people as possible create income streams for themselves so they can make their own decisions and have control over their own futures.
I broke the cycle for my family and I want to break it for thousands more.
